Overall Style
Because Dickinson was never famous she often puts what she felt about the subject of her poems bluntly, since she didn't have a wide audience she didn't have to worry about offending anyone. This led to Emily Dickinson's unique perspective as well as style. She often uses symbols in her poem to allow the reader to see her ideas and themes more clearly. This use of symbols is what originally drew us to her poems and is what has made analyzing her poem more enjoyable.
